We have recently added new faces to our Smart Church Solutions team! However, several incredible staff members have not been in the spotlight quite yet.
This week, we want to introduce you to Tom Metz, Director of Technology. Tom has been a Smart Church Solutions team member for more than four years. He truly feels called to serve the church with technology, which shows in his work. He has a professional background in information technology, business analysis, and project management. Living in South Carolina, Tom and his wife are raising a couple of teenagers. He is also actively involved with his church and F3 (Fitness, Fellowship, and Faith).
To learn more about Tom, we asked him a few questions:
Where Do You Live?
I live in Fort Mill, South Carolina.
What Do You Like To Do For Fun?
I like to exercise with a men’s workout group called F3 (Fitness, Fellowship, Faith). I also enjoy most outdoor recreation and to nerd-out learning about technology and automation.
Why Did You Join the Team at Smart Church Solutions?
I had known Tim Cool for years. When God provided the opportunity for me to join him and his awesome team, it was a no-brainer.
What Most Excites You About Working With Churches?
I believe everyone has opportunities to do Kingdom work at their job, whatever it may be. Working at Smart Church Solutions, those opportunities are obvious and abound.
My role doesn’t often put me in direct communication with church staff. But when that happens, I enjoy getting to know a bit more about them, their ministry, and how eSPACE is able to help them (and even how it might be made better to help them more!).
Ok — Now Brag About Yourself A Little, Tom
I’m a “process” guy that likes to figure out how processes can be made more efficient, especially through technology and automation. Some might call it a gift, but my family would probably not describe it that way. 🙂
I greatly enjoyed serving churches through my work with WorshipPlanning.com, and now feel so incredibly blessed to be part of the Smart Church Solutions team.
